Once again I need a bear wandering among the rocks in the American River below the Foresthill Bridge. Someday I may really see one!

A bear sitting in the American River is one of my favorite scenes I have yet to see. So I paint him in and he seems to be admiring the Foresthill Bridge high above. The title of this watercolor reminds us that we all have in us the opportunity to reflect God’s character and gifts in us.

This train trestle is still in use but now it crosses Interstate 80 in Auburn, California.

A great place to fish the American River. This is Mountain Quarries Railroad Bridge with a great historical past.

Trains no longer cross on this bridge but it is often used by hikers, bikes and horseback riders. Also called No Hands Bridge because of its history of being the closing path for the Tevis Endurance Ride.
