This is how I look back at Auburn, California's history. I thought it the perfect place for the town's Christmas tree lighting and decorating. And then I found that it is where Auburn celebrates the season. The buildings in the background are early 1900 and late 1800's.

This is how I see our little Pioneer Union Church in Gold Run, California coming together to celebrate Christmas. 

The original watercolor does not have the added border nor words. This was put together for a print and Christmas card.

My grandson and daughter in love were the models for this painting. I love the thought of a smiling baby Jesus.
